Missing in Mississippi – Lester Jones

Lester Jones was a 26-year-old Graduate Student at Mississippi State University when he disappeared on January 11, 2010.

Lester’s brother was the last person to see him on the morning of January 11th at his family’s home in Tupelo. Lester stopped by briefly on his way back to Starkville from Tunica, Mississippi and he was supposed to be heading to Jackson to visit some fraternity brothers that night.

On the trip from Starkville to Jackson, Lester was seen on surveillance video at the Sprint Mart in Flowood, Mississippi at 10:18 p.m. His cell phone was later found in the bathroom of the Sprint Mart by a customer who turned it in to the employees of the service station.

Lester’s blue, 2002 Ford Expedition with Mississippi license plate KTW714 was also seen in the surveillance video from the Sprint Mart.

Lester was reported to have been in class on January 11, 2010 but has not been since.

Lester is described as an African American male who is approximately 6′ tall and weighs 205 pounds. He has several tattoos that are distinguishable, “LJ” on his chest, “JESUS” on his back, a picture of a pit bull on his left arm and the quote “To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffering” in an unknown location, possibly on his back.
